CITATION ISSUED AFTER FIREARM DISCOVERED IN AN OCCUPIED VEHICLE ON SCHOOL CAMPUS

CLEVELAND, TN. — The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office investigated an incident today after a firearm was discovered in a vehicle on the campus of Bradley Central High School.

During a routine check of the school parking lot, school personnel located the firearm in an occupied vehicle and immediately notified the School Resource Officers, who responded and began an investigation.

After consulting with the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, a misdemeanor citation was issued to the student responsible for the vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office worked closely with school officials throughout the incident. No additional information will be released at this time.

The safety and security of students and staff remain a top priority.
