On Thursday September 29, 2022, at approximately 4:23 pm Cleveland Police officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 3800 block of Georgetown Road involving a red Kia Soul and a dump truck. The driver of the Kia Soul, Evan Stoops, 20, was pronounce dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck did not sustain any injuries. Preliminary investigation shows the driver of the Kia lost control and crossed the center line, striking the dump truck head-on. There are no criminal charges pending at this time. The investigation is on-going.
